CHANGE IN LOCATION FOR FRESH EXPRESS

Since we are trying to have the Fresh Express program all year long, we have made a change in the location of where Fresh Express will be.  Due to colder weather, we will be moving Fresh Express inside to the education building of the Catholic Church located at the corner of 6th and Mifflin Streets in Huntingdon.  We will have one door as an entrance and one door as an exit so that we can continue to practice social distancing and to protect the health of our community.  Please look at the pictures below to see which door is the entrance and which is the exit.  We appreciate your patience while we expand to better serve our community.

If you have any questions, do NOT call the Catholic Church.  Please contact Michele Rupert at 814-599-4700.

Entrance

If you are standing on the corner of Washington and 6th Street, the Catholic Church will be right there on the corner across the street from the police station.  Walk up 6th Street towards Mifflin, and you will see the stairs and ramp to your right.  Please use the ramp to form the line.

Exit

These are the doors that you will exit from.  This exit will take you directly out towards the corner of 6th and Mifflin.

In accordance with the CDC organizers are encouraged to cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 25 people or more.  To be in compliance with these guidelines, the Huntingdon Soup Kitchen will be offering take out meals only until these guidelines are lifted.  The take out meals will still consist of a main meal, fruit, salad, and dessert.  Every Thursday, doors will now open at 6:00 pm and close at 7:30 pm or until we run out of food, and only 10 people at a time will be allowed to enter the soup kitchen. We will also continue to distribute donated items from Sheetz and Walmart, but these items will already be prebagged to be handed out.

There is NEVER an income restriction for receiving free meals at the Soup Kitchen.  All are always welcome!

To help us make sure that we have enough food for everyone, please fill out the form below.  Filling out the form is not mandatory, but it would be greatly appreciated by the Soup Kitchen volunteers so we can be sure to have enough food for everyone.

Please check back to this site frequently as we will continue to monitor the Covid-19 virus.  We thank you for your patience and look forward to continuing to serve our community.
